IBGSB Softball Clinic Guidance and Safety Protocol
The document Day_Camp_Protocol-Fact_Sheet-Parent____Sign_off.pdf was attached to this post.
It is official! We have been given permission by the State of California, City of Imperial Beach, and USA Softball to start practicing. Managers should have reached out to see which players would be returning to IBGSB for practices and youth camps.
The IBGSB board has agreed to hold onsite clinics beginning Monday, June 15. We will have strict COVID19 protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all Players, families, and coaches.
Monday and Wednesday – 6pm – 8pm
• Field A – 12u
• Field B- 8u
Tuesday and Thursday- 6pm – 8pm
• Field A- 14u
• Field B- 10u
All IBGSB youth day camps “Softball Clinics” will be held in groups up to 12 players. Each group must stay together for the entire time.
In order to move forward and be a part of these groups, the city does require all parents/guardians and athletes to sign a parent commitment.
I am attaching it to this email so you can print and sign before your first clinic. We will also need you to sign a Covid-19 waiver and fill out a player health screening document the first time you come to the clinic. After the first time we will just ask if your athletes symptoms have changed since the last time you were at the facility. I will attach that as well in case you want to fill it out before coming to practice.
Here are some of the guidelines we will adhere to in order to keep everyone safe:
- Small group instruction of no more than 12 girls.
- Coaches in masks (masks encouraged but not required for players)
- Players should not arrive early and need to be picked up on time
- Hand sanitizer used before practice, as well as during and after drills
- Facility and equipment sanitized between practices
- No physical contact (no high fives, hugs, etc); players and coaches remain 6 feet apart when feasible
- No parents on the fields unless you are a registered USA Softball coach
- No car pooling
